Caution: Wear gloves and lab coat. Work with dichlorodimethylsilene in hood.
Fill large dessicator with glassware.
Put 1 ml dichlorodimethylsilene in a small beaker and put it in the dessicator.
Pull vacuum (water aspirator) for 5 min.
Pull off hose to open vacuum quickly and pull vacuum on it for 5 min.
Close dessicator and keep under vacuum for 2 hr under hood (turn off water).
Remove the glassware from dessicator and bake at least 2 hr at 180 C (375 F).
