QuEChERS方法是2003年由美国农业部的化学家Anastassiades和Lehotay等研究建立的一种能有效分离水果、蔬菜中痕量农残的样品前处理技术。Anastassiades曾在采访中说道：“ In this regard, the $5000 chopper used for sample comminution is more important than the $300000+ worth of LC–MS and GC–MS instruments used for analyses.”他表示，对于QuEChERS来说，一台好的研磨机的价值远高于30万美元的LC-MS/GC-MS。
